~Sypnosis~

Seraphina Orielle, an angel of divine fire and light, was also an oracle of foresight. Considered adolescent among her peers, she had yet to master her gift of precognition when her first vision came to pass; a captivating male whose destiny was intimately intertwined with her own. Yet he was not of angelic design. In fact, he was very far from it. Tragically, by the time Sera discovered this pivotal detail, he had already attained ownership of her heart.

But not her ability to flee…

A hundred years later and Cole Asteroth does whatever the hell he wants. When he’s not busy, that is, with ‘dirty deeds, done dirt cheap’ for his master. Ornery and sarcastic, he gets his kicks wreaking havoc in the human realm. Oh, and making very un-angelic women beg for his touch. Life is good…

Until fate finally catches up with him.

A few weak moments, one too many innocent visitations and the two are entangled all over again. But not as they had been before; things are much more complicated now. And Cole no longer possesses much in the way of faith and forgiveness.

As the estranged lovers struggle with what path to take, they quickly discover that destiny, too, is a reluctant second chance provider. As outside resistance and decadent captivity ensues, can their situation get any more exasperating?

~Blurb~

Kicked back against a tree, Cole was tired and frustrated. He’d been discovered by The Master after having long escaped his notice, and now had only one week to make the ultimate decision: die or live the rest of his days in servitude. Sighing, he leaned his head back, lost in thought. His whole life was one big cluster fuck. He didn’t want to die but was wary, not only about the fate of his future, but also about this new power building inside him. The darkness was like a ball of hot wax, waiting to be molded and formed.

Absently, he rubbed his stomach, grimacing as he tilted his head to let the sun warm his face.Sera watched him from afar, concealed in the tree line as she nervously chewed on her thumbnail. He looked so… intriguing. And lonely. Unable to stand it any longer, she emerged from her hiding spot and quietly made her way over.

He was so deep in thought he didn’t seem notice her until she was practically on top of him. Gently she cleared her throat.

“Hello.”

Visibly startled from his reverie, Cole looked up at her.

“Hello.” She smiled and he quickly stood up. As he brushed off his pants, he frowned, glancing warily around. When he looked back at her, confusion etched his features. “Are you lost?” Butterflies instantly assailed Sera’s stomach. He was even more beautiful than in her vision. Oh to drown in such yumminess, she sighed, envisioning herself playing in the thick, dark waves of his hair, or nibbling along his swoon-inducing jawline. And that adorably nervous expression he was wearing, how it made her grin like a smitten cherub. Did he realize how positively glorious he was?

She shook her head, barely able to focus as she stood there taking him in.

“No, I am not lost. Not anymore.” Cole gave her a quick perusal, then licked his lips and swallowed.

“Is there anything I can help you with then?”

When his brows lowered, clearly confused as to why she was there, talking to him in the middle of nowhere, Sera realized she needed to explain. And carefully. She didn’t want to scare him away with her wild tales of visions and destinies. She smiled, shaking her head again.

“You are very kind, but no. I have traveled far this day and simply require rest. Some pleasant company, however, would be lovely.” She gestured to the ground where he’d been sitting just moments before.

“Would you mind if I sat with you for a while?” Cole motioned down at the grass.

“Of course. Please, sit.” Only when she took her seat did he do the same, leaving plenty of space between them. Long fingers raked through his hair as he continued to eye her curiously. When he realized he was staring, he blinked and let out an awkward chuckle.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t introduce myself.”  He held out his hand.

“I’m Cole.”

“Cole,” Sera murmured. “What a handsome name.” So close to him, she felt overwhelmed with an emotion she’d never experienced before. She bit her lip, then cautiously shook his hand. She was so warm and soft, Cole never wanted to let go. He gazed into her eyes, pools of rich milk chocolate, and waited for her sweet, angelic name. Angelic, because that was how she felt to him. Above all those tendrils of mocha, cascading like rivulets over delicate shoulders, he could easily imagine a halo. Beautiful white wings immediately came to mind, emerging gracefully from her back. He blinked, looking down, confused at where such an image had come from. But then quickly, he looked back up. He needed to hear her name, from those lips that seemed to beg for his kiss.

~Review by Sue Ellen~

What an amazing novel by these two authors. You wouldn’t believe that these two have just started out by the way this novel is written. The plot and story line that has been created is amazing and is a quick read. The characters are well written and definitely not boring.  You have Seraphine who is an angel and represents everything that is good. While Cole, is a demon and is from the dark side. However, when these two collide there is a war of passion! Will Seraphine be able to keep her heart wrapped up this time or will Cole take possession of it? The scenes are very hot, and even though you may have questions it is left open for another one (which is out now too). This is only the beginning, looking forward to see what the future wil have for us. If you like reading about angels and demons I would recommend giving this series a try.

~About the Authors~
·Nikita Jakz·
Born and raised in the Northern Virginia, Nikita Jakz has always loved to write, but it wasn’t until her preteen years that she fell hard for all things romantic and paranormal. She could thank Lestat for that one, as well as for her new-found love of reading. With sci-fi fanatics, literary teachers and writers in her family, it shouldn’t have been a surprise. Waiting tables and bar-tending after high school, she worked hard to earn a degree in Electronic Graphic Design. It was during this period of time that she met her husband. Together they’ve built their crazy life together, ushering in four equally crazy children to enjoy it with. As a stay-at-home-mom she’s quickly become, along with the masses, sucked into the insane world of pop-culture ‘vampire love’ and she couldn’t be more thrilled. First came the book forums, then came the role play groups, which ultimately led her to become a fervent online independent writer. With a couple of her favorite writing partners, she endeavors to share with the world her beloved stories of love, adventure and supernatural wonderment.

Nikita is currently working on a handful of other projects as well, all paranormal romance, to be released as early as next year!

·Alicia Dawn·
Alicia Dawn was your average 9-5 workalcoholic that took care of every day business. After 10 long years of having no life, outside of home and work, she found Facebook as so many others had. Always having the passion, since she was in the fourth grade, to read and write, she got drawn into the Role Playing world. Living, via roleplay, the stories that picked up and continued on a book after it was done. This was a whole new world.
Loving that the books she had devoured and loved to read were now never ending. She became captivated by all the stories that others with the same passion created, and Role Played out on Facebook. Getting drawn into something that she had never done before, but always in back of her mind wished she could do, Alicia started Role Playing on Facebook in 2010, meeting Nikita Jakz along the way. After a year, she decided to be adventurist and create her own characters. Not unlike what all authors do, when creating those awesome books that she had coveted and devoured when they came out.
Joining a group of independent writers, Cole was born. A year later Nikita Jakz joined the same group and getting snagged by his story, Seraphina was born.

A paranormal tale of undying love.

The story of a love powerful enough to span centuries.

How can she be his soul mate if he doesn’t have a soul?

Blurb:

When Graham Logan, a Scottish earl turned vampire by a dark wizard’s curse, draws the Queen of Swords, he knows he’s about to meet the love of his life. For the third time. But surrendering his heart will mean risking her life…or making her what he is. Neither of which his morals will permit him to do. Graham, who believes he lost his soul to the curse, rages at God: Why give her back only to take her again?

Cat Fingal, the third incarnation of Graham’s twin flame, won’t let him escape so easily. As soon as they meet, she feels she knows him and begins having past-life flashbacks. A white witch, she casts a spell to summon him, wanting answers and to fill the void she’s felt all her life.

Graham has other problems, too. Like the seductress who wants him for herself and the dark wizard who cursed him and killed his beloved the first two times.

Will he find a way to save her this time around? Or will she save him?

Excerpt:

Biting his lip, Graham turned the card of the here and now quickly. Seeing what he’d most feared tightened his chest. The central figure sat in profile upon a throne carved with angels and butterflies. She wore a white gown and a cloak decorated with clouds. More clouds gathered in the background, suggesting a storm was coming. The woman’s left hand reached out toward someone or something unseen in the distance. Her other hand gripped the up-thrust symbol of her suit.

He’d drawn the card only once before: the morning he’d met Catharine La Croix at a sidewalk cafe overlooking the Seine. To say her resemblance to Caitriona discomposed him was an understatement. He’d been floored by the likeness. He’d also been drawn to it like a sailor to a siren’s song. Unfortunately, he’d had no ship’s mast to rope himself to until the danger passed. Within a few weeks, they were deeply in love. He never suspected she might meet the same fate as her previous incarnation. Not until it was too late, anyway.

He’d done his best to protect her. After seeing Gerard Fitzgerald, the dark wizard who’d cursed him, on the street outside her apartment on Rue de Cherche Midi, he’d kept a watchful eye on her. Being as stubborn as before, she didn’t care for his vigil. One morning, she slipped out after he’d fallen asleep. He’d searched for her everywhere, out of his mind with worry. He’d had her blood, should have felt her, but he didn’t. That evening, he learned why.

Fitzgerald had done it. Of that, he was certain. He just didn’t know why. Now, it looked as if history was about to repeat. And what could he do about it except tear out his hair, beat his fists on the walls, and cry to heaven, “Why? Why give her back to me only to take her again?”

Grief closed around his throat like a strangler’s hands. Coughing to ease its grip, he overturned the card of his future. Surprise stung his heart when he saw The Fool. Squinting, he studied the image of a gaily-dressed youth whose open arms seemed to embrace the world. His right hand held a knapsack, his left, a single white rose. Nipping at his heels was a wee white dog. The Fool, fearing nothing, looked skyward with a dreamy expression as he strode toward the edge of a cliff.

Bewildered, he shook his head. What could it mean? The Fool stood on the threshold. He was the protagonist of the tarot, the archetypal hero embarking on his quest, the soul starting its journey toward atonement. The Fool, in other words, was the polar opposite of the hopeless, faithless tightrope walker Fitzgerald’s dark curse had turned him into over the past one hundred years.

 Review
Do you love to read all things Paranormal?? If so then this is definitely one for you to pick up. The cover gives you a bit of mysteriousness of what may be in the novel to pull her readers in and it grasped my attention, everyone knows that’s the first thing I look for. But of course a cover doesn’t make a book and the author did an amazing job in the story line flowing smoothly and without any holes. Graham, turned vampire has had to live a long time and been thru a lot of tragedy, especially losing his love over and over again. When he sees her again, he wants nothing to do with her because of fear that history will repeat itself. Faith in my opinion is has dealt him a whole lot of bad luck because no matter what it has a different event plan. Cat, feels like she has met this mysterious sexy man before but not until things start to unfold will the truth come out. I love the way her mind works especially after you get into the book and she casts a spell on one of the characters who has become evil as time has grown. The torture scene and aftermath is very unique and well thought, all I have to say is she got what she deserved. Will the third time this couple meet be the last and love prevail or will the evil that chases Graham take what once he loved away again? The author did an amazing job with the descriptions and while sometimes going back in the past of memories you were still able to keep up with what was happening. This is definitely one of a kind and I recommend this for readers who like witches, vampires, and other paranormal creatures.

Excerpt from ‘The Pendulum Files’

They lay entwined in each other’s arms, Brenda’s leg draped provocatively over Chris’ thighs, her head resting on his chest. The radiator in Sam’s office eagerly cranked out heat as the lamp cast a yellow glow on their skin, moist from their lovemaking.

Chris’ eyes were closed as he lay on his back, one hand cupping a palm full of Brenda’s hair while the other absent-mindedly ventured up and down her arm. Sleep was just a moment away; a deep, satisfying slumber that he knew would be too brief. But as he began to drift off, an insistent voice in the back of his mind reminded him that they were nude on Sam’s couch in Sam’s office; the door was open to the hallway; and their clothes still left a trail along the floor. He tried to ignore it, tried vainly to grab the few minutes of sleep he so desperately needed, but the voice grew until it forced him to open his eyes and stare in frustration at the mottled, aged ceiling.

He thought perhaps Brenda had slipped into a slumber more urgently needed than his own; her fingers lay still against his chest and her breathing was rhythmic. Her hair was still slightly damp and he breathed in the soft floral fragrance as he instinctively tightened his hold around her.

She murmured at his movement, shifting her face to peer up at him.

“Did I wake you?” he asked, his voice deep.

“No,” she said lazily. “I couldn’t sleep.”

“We can’t stay here, you know.”

“No?” She rose slightly as she arched one brow. “Wouldn’t it be fun to see the expression on Sam’s face when he comes to work?”

“No,” he said firmly. “And how’s your leg?”

She grew serious. “It’ll heal. Anyway, I have a plan.”

“Why did I know you would?”

She rolled atop of him. “I’m sick and tired of this guy trying to kill me. We’re turning the tables, Chris. We’re going after him.”
Review by Sue Ellen.
So apparently this is part of a series, but by no means do you have to read them in order because I truthfully didn’t read all of the other novels in this series and still was able to very much enjoy it. The author knows exactly how to get the attention of her readers right from the beginning. The way she writes her plot does not leave her readers just standing still, it definitely makes your mind work and it is in a good way. The whole time I was reading it, I was never bored with the plot, nor the characters (which I will tell a little about in a bit). The flow was continuously and had plenty of action, mystery, and suspense with a little touch of romance, bring in some secrets and you will have yourself a Pandora box. Each of the characters were unique, and was able to bring their own in this story line, to where now I definitely want to read the others in the series. The end was not what I expected but of course an amazing writer will never let you guess the ending of the book and will keep you guessing until they are ready to reveal. Grab your copy today and get comfortable you may be a while, trust me you won’t regret it!
